Views of Ephesos

Ephesos is situated at the South-Western coast of Anatolia, the ancient Asia minor (near Kusadasi). The ancient Greek city was an important trade and cultural center. It was the capital of the Roman province of Asia. Since 1896 Austrian archeological teams have undertaken excavations of the ruins, in particular of the Celsus Library.
